Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A helicopter flying over a crowded coastal coastline abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers observed.
Videos shared on the internet show the aircraft starting to spin over Huntington Beach then descending towards the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on that day.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
